Extremely good all-American breakfasts (and lunch) in an old fashioned coffee shop setting. Hearty too; in fact, don’t go if you are on a diet. The combination breakfast dishes are a great deal. Omelets, French toast, bacon … it’s all good.
Although hard to find in a residential neighborhood you can still expect a wait, especially on weekends. It is often filled with Peninsula locals, most of whom are repeat customers who agree with me that Nina’s the best.
Location: 1000 N Idaho St/Bayswater Ave, San Mateo, CA. Take the Peninsula exit off Hwy 101 to get there. They close at 2:30 pm weekends, 3:00 pm weekdays.
