Town Restaurant, San Carlos -- for a nice evening

Surprisingly for San Carlos, Town Restaurant is a happening place. There's a nice happy crowd and staff, good drinks and food.

I like sitting at the circular bar on Friday evenings drinking their great Los Altos margaritas. Get there early (6-6:15 pm), however, if you want to find a stool. There are a lot of couples and singles so the place is fairly noisy.

The food is excellent though not inexpensive. It's a steak house but I enjoy the sashimi grade ahi tuna. A recent evening alone cost me $75 including drinks plus tax & tips.

I like the power lunch too. The Napa Cabbage Salad is out of this world! The bbq shrimp appetizer is great. Most things on the menu are really good.

The power lunch at Town Restaurant for $16 is my recommendation. I go there with the girls from the office for a treat.
