About us

Our favorite weekend hobby, for over twenty years, is enjoying and discovering the SF Bay Area's many wonderful things to do. This hobby has given us literally thousands of happy days, mini-vacations really. And, now, it has led to creating this web site designed to make it quick and easy for you to experience our very best finds.

This web site is not a catalog of all of the nice things to see and do around San Francisco. You possibly also know dozens or hundreds already yourself. Instead, hiddenSF.com points out a handpicked selection of the:
  • "best of the best" adventures -- Newcomers will be amazed. Jaded locals will probably keep returning.
  • "hidden treasures" -- For local insiders who are also treasure hunters like us.
These gems are well worth your investigation.

We most enjoy natural beauty (wonderful mixtures of sun, sea, air, weather, & terrain), funky unique eating places, and interesting things to do. These interests are reflected in our choices. Luckily, in the San Francisco area such pleasures are often reasonably inexpensive and easy to get to. For example, on a typical Sunday we will typically revisit some old favorites and check out a few new possibilities ... all in less than a five hour round trip. Then, the rest of the day is left to relax at home. Such pleasurable days are a great way to experience the good life together as a couple and make a great break from the work-a-day world.

San Francisco Bay is an amazing place to live and to love. Hopefully you will relish its wonderful treasures nearly as much as we do!
