Trap & Skeet shotgun Shooting at Pacific Rod & Gun Club, San Francisco

Just visited the Pacific Rod & Gun Club which has a surprisingly nice trap & skeet facility. This 77 year old institution provides a safe (no accidents ever) and beautiful (overlooking Lake Merced) place to shoot. Several national championships have been held here and famous shooters of the past include Bing Crosby, Clark Gable, Andy Devine, and Ernest Hemingway,

This club is run by “old” guys who are very much into safety and protecting the environment. It is open to the public and professional instruction for new shooters is available.

Hours: 11 am-5 pm Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays.
Rules: There are strict rules so check them out first.
Location: 520 John Muir Drive on the west side of Lake Merced near Ft Funston and the San Francisco Zoo.
