The Dancing Cat Cafe
A Cat Cafe in San Jose?
It looks like a quaint little coffee shop, and in fact you can get a cup of coffee & a snack there, BUT it’s really a place for humans (including kids) to hang out with live cats. People who don’t have enough cats of their own (or want to get to know and perhaps even adopt one) can come here for their “cat fix” with 8-12 happy, friendly cats running loose.
It’s so popular that reservations are suggested to help insure a comfortable cat/people mix. A $10 tax-deductible donation/hour is requested.
Partners include the San Jose & Morgan Hill Animal Care Center, Karma Cat Rescue and other animal organizations who are working together to place adoptable cats into loving homes. 21 “dancing cats” were already adopted the first month.
