The Slanted Door

Expensive but one of the nicest settings around for Vietnamese fusion food. Very popular, probably due to its nice location and view. It also has started winning many food awards.

Recently The Slanted Door was named the nation’s most outstanding restaurant for 2014 by the James Beard Foundation. Our experiences there have been good … but not really that good.

Another quick way to try the food is to get a to-go order from Out the Door, a kiosk behind the restaurant. The Slanted Door also has a new retail store at the Ferry Building where you can get cook books, cooking supplies, utensils and even specially prepared “do it yourself” meal kits for making some of their dishes at your own home.
