Ramen Dojo -- Excellent Japanese Noodle House in San Mateo

All they serve is excellent Japanese spicy noodle soup at $8.95 for a large & filling bowl. I spent a little more to add a cold Sappora beer plus three pot stickers. The pork ramen broth is particularly delicious but select the mild version unless you like really hot spices. The setting and service are very nice as well.

This small out-of-the-way restaurant is quite popular with the young adult Asian set. Therefore, expect a wait.

Location: 805 South B Street/8th Ave, San Mateo. Hours 11:30-2, 5:30-9pm; closed Tuesdays.
