Chaparral Trail & John Brooks Trail
Belmont Open Space

One of the better access points to the top of Belmont’s large open space canyon.  For a nice, short 1-1.5 mile walk take either the John Brooks Trail or the Chaparral Trail from the trailhead at Somerset Drive (shown below) southeast to the trailhead at Somerset Court (at the east end of Somerset Drive).
