San Mateo Chinese Take Out?   Well, maybe.

The Tao Yuen Restaurant has big, cheap lunches and an extremely nice staff. The food ... well, it's not the "best" but plenty good enough when we have a hankering for Chinese take out. It's certainly the best such place near San Mateo Jr College and is where most of us locals go.

Location: 3170 Campus Dr in the Laurelwood Shopping Center just off Hwy 92 & Hillsdale.
