Computer History Museum
Mountain View, CA
This is the world’s leading institution exploring the history of computing, in 19 different galleries of multi-media displays. This nice, newish museum is very interesting and even more so because much of computer history happened since 1960. In fact, some of the Hewlett Packard scientific calculators which I helped introduce as a product manager are shown here.
If you are a real nerd (or want to see one :) this is definitely the place to go. There is also a museum store and a restaurant you can visit for free, without paying admission, if you want to check things out first. The museum is very close to Google’s World Headquarters.
