Historic 7 Mile House
in Brisbane near the Cow Palace
First established in 1853 seven miles south of SF’s Ferry Building as a stopping place to rest the stagecoach horses, this little old family restaurant has a colorful history. And, it’s still quite unique and usually crowded.
Now it’s a favorite local eating place and sports dive bar serving a mix of good homestyle American (e.g., great burgers), Italian and Filipino food (e.g., the famous Pork Adobo). It also features a variety of special attractions including excellent live music with no cover charge, happy hour, Sunday afternoon BBQs, specials on big game nights and a “Paws on the Patio” menu with tasty treats for furry guests (who are welcome on the front patio). Call or check the website for details.
