Quarry Park, El Granada
A Hidden Gem for Hikers & Dog Walkers
Quarry Park in El Granada is a hidden gem for hikers and dog walkers. Only the local locals really know that this 40-acre community park exists. See trail map for trail details.

You can hike, walk your dog, run, bike, or horseback ride on these well maintained trails which traverse medium slopes within large groves of blue gum eucalyptus trees. The 2-mile round trip hike to Vista Point is particularly recommended for its spectacular view on sunny days of Pillar Point Harbor.
From Quarry Park you can access the 49-acre Mirada Surf open space for a walk to the ocean and also the adjoining 462-acre Wicklow open space area for much longer hikes. These properties were all part of a 500-acre park belt which the famous landscape architect Daniel H. Burnham envisioned in 1905 when he designed scenic El Granada.
Location: Santa Maria Ave. & Columbus St., El Granada. See map below. You can also access Quarry Park via a trailhead into Mirada Surf East which is located on Hwy 1 just northwest of Magellan Ave.
Hours: Sunrise to sunset
Dogs: Pets are allowed on-leash. Bikes and horses are also allowed on several roads.
