Redwood Shores Library — a hidden treat!
nature exhibits, cafe, outside deck, computers, books …
The new Redwood Shores library near Oracle is a great place to spend a few hours browsing. This is my favorite place to spend lunch hour or a quiet weekend afternoon.
In back is a nice open deck facing beautiful sloughs and hiking trails. Inside are all sorts of Bay wildlife exhibits and maps. Indeed, this is the nicest small library we’ve ever seen; obviously big bucks were spent here.
overlooking nature trails, a marshy slough, and Oracle Corporation.
They also have plenty of computers and lots of books and movies, in categories ranging from “guilty pleasure” to celebrity autobiographies to serious literature. If you want the latest book, you can order it for $.75 and the library will send an email when it is available.
This is a good place to bring kids or to just relax by yourself. Check out Redwood Shores Library and the Redwood Shores area next time you are looking for a hidden treat.
